The Effect of the Error Analysis Strategy on Learning the Snatch Skill Performance of First-Year Students in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study aims to evaluate the mastery of the snatch skill, a fundamental weightlifting exercise, by students at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Diyala, through the use of error analysis method. The significance of the study lies in enhancing teaching by enabling students to review and correct their own errors, thereby boosting their self-confidence and motivation. The study included a sample of 32 first-year students, divided into two groups: an experimental group that used error analysis method and a control group that used the traditional method. The results showed a significant advantage for the experimental group in the post-test, confirming the effectiveness of error analysis in improving skill performance. Based on these findings, the researcher recommended generalizing this method in teaching sport skills and conducting further studies on other skills and different categories, with a focus on integrating modern technologies such as visual analysis into the educational process.
