Assessment of Organizational Trust and Academic Performance of Faculty Members at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Mosul

Abstract

This research aims to assess the level of organizational trust among faculty members at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Mosul. Additionally, it seeks to explore the relationship between organizational trust and the evaluation of academic performance among these faculty members.

To achieve the research objectives, the researchers employed a descriptive survey method. The study sample consisted of 79 faculty members from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Mosul for the 2020-2021 academic year. Data collection methods included content analysis, personal interviews, and a questionnaire measuring organizational trust. The SPSS statistical package was utilized for data analysis, applying the following statistical tools: arithmetic mean, weighted arithmetic mean, standard deviation, simple correlation coefficient, and standardized score.

Key Findings:

1. All faculty members at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Mosul demonstrated a good level of organizational trust.
2. The trust between faculty members and the college's senior administration contributed to an increased level of organizational trust.
3. Activities conducted within the college had a direct impact on enhancing organizational trust.
