Predicting the level of cardiac workload and the maximum oxygen consumption in terms of the physical efficiency of advanced basketball players

Abstract

Basketball is one of the games that has many requirements, including physical, functional and skill, so the development of these abilities is required because it is the basis for developing the skill, planning and psychological aspects of the players. One of the most important qualities that a basketball player must have is that the game ends in all its periods, and he maintains his speed and strength despite the long period of performance.


The problem of the current research is that the problems facing specialists in the training process is how to measure functional and physical abilities and give them digital values ​​that help specialists to employ them. Also, the lack of accurate objective tests as well as “that if these tests are found, they do not have standards that enable the trainer to evaluate The player’s immediate condition as the researchers see that the players often appear tired at an early stage, which leads to a decrease in the level of skill and executive performance of the plans. A defect in the use of appropriate training aids to develop physical, functional and skill capabilities.


The research aims to:


- 1Knowing the level of heart occupancy and the maximum oxygen consumption and physical efficiency pwc.


- 2Determining the percentages of the contribution of physical efficiency, heart occupancy and the maximum oxygen consumption.


Research community and sample:


The advanced basketball players in Al-Diwaniyah, who numbered 60, and the research sample was 47 players, with a percentage of 78.33% of the research community.


The research included presentation, analysis and discussion of the results.


As for the most important conclusions:


- 1The level of cardiac workload, maximum oxygen consumption and physical efficiency (pwc) were identified.


-2A correlation relationship was found between the work of the heart and physical efficiency and the maximum consumption of oxygen, and the percentages of the contribution of physical efficiency, work of the heart and the maximum consumption of oxygen were determined.


As for the most important recommendations:


1- Conducting other studies on the same topic of research in other sports activities.


- 2Paying attention to young age groups and training them according to the correct and studied scientific foundations in learning and training.
