Abstract

            The strategy (K.W.L.H) is one of the strategies to revitalize previous knowledge, which aims to make previous knowledge the focal point of new knowledge. This strategy is based on the constructivist theory, which is based on the basic assumption that the learner builds knowledge by himself through the interaction between the new information and the previous experience in memory through a group of activities carried out by the learner under the supervision of the teacher. And directing him to link new ideas with previously known information, storing this information and applying it in life situations, and that cognitive preparation plays an effective role in building the knowledge structure for learning. The research problem can be determined by the urgent need to improve the teaching strategies used in the teaching of mathematical sciences, in particular for the subject of teaching methods, and to verify experimentally the use of (K.W.L.H) strategy.

            The aim of the research is to reveal the impact of the (K.W.L.H) strategy on the cognitive achievement of the subject of teaching methods and learning motives. The study was conducted for third-year students in the College of Physical Education, University of Sulaymaniyah. Among the conclusions that the researchers came out with is that the (K.W.L.H) strategy and the method used have a positive effect on learning motivations and cognitive achievement in the subject of teaching methods for students. Therefore, he recommended the need to use modern strategies that depend on the fact that the student is the center of the educational process in developing and learning concepts related to teaching methods and other subjects.
