Publication Ethics of Sports Science Journal
- Journal of Sports Sciences_ Diyala University is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Diyala in Iraq. The journal publishes scientific research and studies in the fields of physical education and related sciences. The journal aims to publish scientific research of high quality and to enhance communication between researchers in the fields of sports and physical education. It accepts scientific research based on its scientific content. their priorities.
- Statement of Scientific Publication Ethics for the Journal of Sports Science, which includes regulations and ethical systems for the editor-in-chief, members of the editorial board, scientific reviewers, and researchers. It is also consistent with the principles of the International Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), and the requirements of the Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement.
Editor-in-Chief: The editor-in-chief of the journal, in cooperation with the editorial board, with specialists from outside the editorial board, is responsible for selecting scientific reviewers according to the subject of the research and the competence of the scientific reviewer in complete confidentiality.

• Work with the editor-in-chief of the magazine to improve its vision.
• Choosing appropriate evaluators for research submitted for publication in the journal.
• Maintaining the confidentiality of the evaluation process and the information received from the evaluators.
Researchers: Researchers must ensure the originality of their research and that it meets the high professional and ethical standards of researchers, and the following follows:
• The submitted research should have high credibility in terms of presenting the results without fabricating or distorting the results of the data.
• The researchers are arranged according to what was mentioned in the research, provided that the names are mentioned in the first sequence with an idea according to the weight of the contribution of each of them.
• Researchers should refer - correctly - to the research that was referred to in the research.
• Researchers should review their research according to the proposals of the reviewers, and in the event that the researcher does not agree to adopt the proposed amendments, he must provide a logical justification for that.
- The journal does not charge researchers any fees when receiving their research submitted for evaluation or for publication in it, except after the research is subjected to the extraction program and making sure that the extraction rate does not exceed 20%, and the researcher is obligated to pay the financial expenses incurred by the evaluation procedures in the event of a request to withdraw the research Or he wanted not to follow up on the evaluation procedures, or he ignored and took into account some of the evaluations’ observations without responding to them.

The journal considers the process of evaluating the research by specialists as a major stage of scientific publishing in the journal, and that it is the policy of the journal to ensure the professionalism of the work of the scientific reviewers and their commitment to the ethical laws of the journal, and the following follows:
- The research submitted for publication in the journal is subject to evaluation by specialists, in the event that the editorial management finds that the research submitted for publication is compatible with the policies of publication in the journal and the integrity of scientific research procedures, the research is sent to two reviewers with specialization, to evaluate it and write a detailed report about its integrity and originality science, using a dedicated form. In the event of a negative report from one of the evaluators, the research is sent in its original version to a third scientific evaluator to decide on its validity for publication.
The journal's management deals with the names of the reviewers and their reports in complete secrecy, and only discloses them to members of the editorial board, who also deal with them in strict secrecy.

Evaluators must investigate objectivity in the judgments and results of the evaluation process.
